Following the injections, temporary redness and mosquito-bite sized swelling is typical for approximately 30 minutes. On rare occasions there may be a tiny bruise. It is important that you avoid touching the treated area for about an hour following your appointment to prevent the injected Botox from spreading\/migrating to adjacent tissue.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>

<\/i><\/i><\/span>What is the recovery period like after botox injections?<\/span><\/a><\/h4><\/div>

Unlike undergoing cosmetic surgery, the recovery period for this type of treatment is relatively minimal. After receiving an injection of botulinum toxin, or Botox, you may notice some minimal swelling, bruising, redness, and soreness at the injection site. For most people, these symptoms tend to be mild and resolve within a few minutes or hours after the application. To avoid further bruising, and the toxin from spreading away from desired location, don\u2019t massage or rub the area, and minimize touching your face.
